Greyhound – Greyhound buses are one of the oldest, if not the oldest companies for bus transport in the United States.  The company is well-established and it services many cities.  It is not always the cheapest.

Coach – Coach, like Greyhound, is an older company.  The prices are were typically more like Greyhound’s, but they have recently been lowered by the introduction of Megabus into the US markets.
Mega Bus  – Megabus is the famed company from the United Kingdom.  In the last few years they have introduced themselves into the US market and slowly expanded to serve many states.  Plan it right and you can find deals for $1.
