Today was simply amazing! I got up early and went to the Civic Center area of San Francisco to pick up my rental car that happened to be a great Chrysler.
I drove with a map through the stunning Highway 1 along the coast, enjoying the views of the beaches and cliffs.
Finally I arrived to my first destination: Año Nuevo State Park. Loved the dunes and the paths,
where I got to see elephant seals.
They are huge!
After three amazing hours in the Park, I drove to my final destination: Pigeon Point.
There is a historic lighthouse which is working everyday protecting boats from crash into the rocks. The scenery is magical!
And I’ve been very lucky to sleep at this Lighthouse Hostel because it’s a unique location surrounded by one of the most beautiful places in California. I will write more about it in following posts.
It was a perfect day surrounded by nature. What else could I ask for?
So glad that your trip has been working out so well!!
The pictures are all so beautiful and I love the idea of staying in a lighthouse, I am looking forward to hearing about it:)
Me encantan las fotos Sara. Me alegro mucho de que estés disfrutando tanto del viaje. Ya he visto las fotos de Venice y Santa Monica, espero que lo pases genial. Can’t wait to read all about your roadtrip.
